Also known as the M.O.R. Sillón or “Morsillón,” this sculptural sofa is an outstanding example of the playful and experimental spirit that defined Spanish Postmodern design during the 1980s. Its composition contrasts a long upholstered seat with an elongated cylindrical leather backrest, supported by a slender black lacquered metal structure. The present example has been professionally reupholstered in a linen and cotton fabric featuring a richly detailed floral and bird motif, combined with a black leather backrest. The contrast between the expressive botanical upholstery, the elongated cylindrical backrest and the exposed black lacquered metal frame emphasizes the sofa’s graphic, sculptural and distinctly Postmodern character. The M.O.R. model is represented in the collection of the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, and another example was acquired by the Spanish Ministry of Culture in 2025 for the Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas. Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage. Every piece design of LA Studio or new production as they are made with natural materials or made by artisans they may vary in wood color, marble color or wood grain, etc. Take into account that the colors on the furniture may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images.
