Dutch mid-century modern daybed / sofa, Netherlands, 1960s

An elegant and understated mid-century modern sofa or daybed, produced in the Netherlands in the 1960s. It has been professionally reupholstered in a soft, neutral sage-green fabric, carefully chosen to complement its original design language. The sofa is characterised by its architectural silhouette, with a slim black metal frame, floating seat and backrest, and two solid wood armrests with a warm natural finish. The clean horizontal lines and light visual footprint are exemplary of post-war European modernism. Its balanced proportions make it equally suitable as a sofa, daybed or statement piece in a living room, gallery-like interior or boutique hospitality setting. The restrained colour palette blends into both minimalist and more layered interiors. Excellent condition, fully reupholstered, frame checked and structurally sound.
