Vintage freestanding design desk, 1960s

This mid century desk had a paralleled path of construction. It comprises a teak veneered leaf with oak base and a sub section that was later fitted underneath. The combination actually looks really good. We found this out when searching for provenance of the desk. Anyway, the desk comprises two banks of drawers of which the top drawers can be locked and on the back has shelves for books. The desk will thus also look great as free standing piece. Vintage desk made of teak and oak. The legs of the desk are made out of solid oak. We had the top refinished with a cellulose laquer system minimizing the impact on the pure teak feel but adding a layer of robustness to the top. There are signs of use and time on the frame and the drawer banks but none of those disturb really. For this reason we give this desk a very good vintage condition mark.
