Mid-century freestanding teak desk by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Møbelfabrik, 1960s

This desk was designed by Kai Kristiansen and manufactured by Feldballes Møbelfabrik in Denmark in the 1960s. It is a good example of high-quality materials and manufacturing. The desk is made of teak and is freestanding, thanks to the finished backside with an open storage area. The front features two drawer modules with three drawers each. The teak elements have been cleaned from the old surface, painted in an oak mordant, and finished with a strong semi-matt lacquer.
