Superb modern Danish desk from the mid-1960s, designed by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik. This beautiful piece in teak and oak is exceptionally well made, with great attention to detail. It features clean, minimalist lines with a subtle curve on the oak frame. The desk offers excellent storage and practicality: at the front, three drawers on the left and two on the right, as well as sliding shelves at the top on each side. At the back, it includes a built-in three-part bookcase, with the central section having a tambour door, ideal for display or storage. The drawers are fitted with elegant sculpted handles that complement the organic shape of the desk. The condition is very good, with only slight signs of wear related to age. There is a slight colour variation on the top where a leather desk mat was previously placed. An absolutely stunning and highly functional example of classic mid-century Danish design.
