Antique writing desk with wooden display case.

Antique writing desk topped with a display case, probably dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, featuring curved legs and superb original curved glass. Made from solid wood with warm tones—likely walnut or mahogany given its deep grain—it charms with its drop-down front revealing a workspace fitted with small compartments and secret drawers. This remarkable piece will elegantly stand out in a refined office, a library, or a living room with classic accents. Condition: The furniture is sound, stable, and perfectly functional, with the drop-down front opening easily and the drawers sliding correctly. The wood and varnish show an authentic patina of time, marked by very light micro-scratches from use and discreet shades in harmony with its age. The curved glass of the display case is intact and preserved, offering a rare charm to the whole, which retains its solidity and period appearance.
