Secretary desk with glass library in antique wood.

Secretary desk with glass library dating probably from the first half of the 20th century, featuring superbly curved legs inspired by classical design and ornate metal drop handles. Made from a warm wood with golden hues — likely walnut or cherry — it consists of a flap revealing an ingenious interior compartment lined with leather, topped with a glass body with delicate arches. This majestic and functional piece will naturally find its place in an elegant office, a characterful living room, or a spacious bedroom. Condition: The furniture is healthy, stable, and perfectly functional, with the flap and drawers opening smoothly. The whole piece shows an authentic old patina, marked by a few superficial micro-scratches from use, slight wear on the leather of the flap, and a discreet chip of veneer on the top drawer. These few marks of time testify to its history and give this piece all its charm without compromising its sturdiness.
