Victorian Scriban Desk in Walnut, 1860

We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent walnut-framed Scriban library desk dating from around 1860-1880. This Scriban-style desk (piano type) features original glass in the upper part, a solid walnut writing surface that can accommodate a laptop and a mouse pad when the desk is open, all resting on a cupboard base. It is a true decorative and functional masterpiece. The wood has been carefully cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished, and the glass cleaned. Signs of wear and a patina are visible, in keeping with the age of the piece. The legs have been repaired and restored, and overall the piece is in good condition.
