Light wood library with a secretary and leather surface.

We are delighted to present this superb light mahogany library bookcase circa 1880 with a secretary desk. A well-designed and collectible bookcase. The upper part includes three height-adjustable shelves, making a total of four sections for your private library. The central section is a sliding secretary desk with a new brown leather writing surface with embossed gold edging. The drawers are made of burr satin wood, and they are very pretty. The lower part includes a good-sized cupboard with a central shelf. We have cleaned, waxed, and polished it from top to bottom. It is in good general condition with patina marks due to authentic age and honest use. Dimensions: Height 209 cm, Width 105 cm, Depth 45 cm. Please note that vintage and original period items such as leather seating will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular waxing to prevent any loss of moisture. Additionally, hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods as it may dry out and discolour.
