Secretary in marquetry in the Louis XV style from mid-Italian century, 1960s Elegant Italian drop-front secretary with a display cabinet, dating from the 1960s, in the refined style of the Louis XV revival. Richly veneered in rosewood, decorated with geometric marquetry in an elaborate diamond pattern, with contrasting wood inlays and delicate floral inlays on the drop-front cabinet compartment and the drawer fronts. The upper section features two glazed doors with arched panels, original glass shelves, and delicate engraved/painted patterns on the glass. The lower section has a slanted drop-front cabinet above three drawers with original brass handles. Raised on four elegant cabriole legs, ending in brass hooves and decorated brass rings (see photos). Very good condition with signs of light wear consistent with age and previous use. There is slight discolouration on the front of the right drawer, but minimal. (see photos). Please examine everything carefully through the photos attached to the listing.
