Small Cherrywood Chest of Drawers, Directoire Period – Early 19th Century

Lovely little estate chest of drawers, made of cherry wood and topped with Belgian gray marble, dating from the Directoire period of the early 19th century. Its refined design and finishes make this piece an original and functional piece of furniture. Three spacious drawers (the tallest is narrower) are adorned with gilt brass drop handles and working locks with heart-shaped entry. On each side, the sober uprights are fitted with brass capital trim that highlights the upper corners of the piece. ******** Period: Early 19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
