Wim Rietveld for Gispen 4050 'Panama ' lamp in Black, 1955

Spectacular wall light designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen ‘model 4050’ known as ‘Panama’. The black shade resembles a 'Panama' hat, hence the name. A grey arm on which the three hinges of this lamp can be adjusted using the red wrench that is attached to the wall plate. It has a new diffuser. The Panama wall light is a real Dutch Design Classic! A true must have for any industrial design lover / collector. In overall very good vintage condition with one small dent in shade, see photo's.
