Art Deco vase, pink crystal glass, Zawiercie Glassworks, Poland, 1930s

A vase from the late Art Deco period, produced in the 1930s by Zawiercie Glassworks, is an example of masterful glass craftsmanship of that era. The columnar form with a slightly flared silhouette is accentuated by many sharp, vertical facets, creating a geometric, architectural sculpture effect. The pink crystal glass – warmly pink with a subtle hint of orange and golden undertone – radiates a pastel hue of medium intensity, characteristic of the style. The vase's surface is smooth and shiny, with light passing through thick walls, highlighting both the perfection of the cut and the depth of colour. Small air bubbles inside the glass, typical of manual glassmaking techniques, as well as minor inclusions and micro-scratches, attest to the originality and age of the item. The construction is one-piece, with no visible joints. The vase is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks, and retains subtle signs of use typical of the 1930s.
