This Art Deco crystal vase, produced by the renowned Moser manufactory in Karlovy Vary (Czechoslovakia) in the 1930s, is an example of masterful design craftsmanship from the interwar period. Made entirely of high-quality faceted crystal, its warm amber hue with a golden note plays with light on its glossy, precisely polished surface. The proportional, hexagonal form widens towards the top, showcasing strongly marked, geometric faceting characteristic of the Art Deco style: emphasizing symmetry, linearity, and architectural rhythm. The solidly cut and faceted base ensures stability, and the clear Moser signature confirms authenticity. The vase is in excellent condition – no chips, scratches, or visible signs of use, with a smooth surface and no discoloration. This vase seems to tell the story of an era where modernity merged with refined aesthetics: the amber glow of the crystal reminiscent of the flicker of light in pre-war salons, geometric faceting echoing the jazz energy and skyscrapers of Upper Manhattan. The restraint of the form is dressed in the nobility of the material – the object speaks with the cool rationality of the 1930s, while also inviting with its play of light and shadow, as if each edge were a fragment of a city skyline illuminated by the setting sun. The Moser vase can become the dominant element of a composition on a dark wood console in a living space inspired by mid-century or Art Nouveau eclecticism. It will work well both solo and alongside upholstered furniture with simple shapes, metal details, or porcelain figurines – pairing it with a single branch or a minimalist floral arrangement will further emphasize its architectural lines. It can be combined with classic Murano glass or placed against matte surfaces to bring out the depth of the amber shade and the noble play of reflections.
