A vase produced by the Moser manufactory in Karlovy Vary in the 1930s presents classic features of the Art Deco style. The entire piece is made of massive, transparent crystal, subjected to faceting – vertical bands of precisely cut facets create a coherent, architectural form that smoothly transitions from a wide, balanced base to a slimmer edge. The smooth, extremely shiny surface displays an amber-yellow shade of medium saturation, which changes depending on the angle of light, and the sharply defined edges and noticeable weight of the glass emphasize the handmade quality typical of the interwar period. No visible damage or losses – the vase is in very good condition, with the carefully preserved Moser signature. If this crystal vase could speak, it would tell of an era of great ambitions and clear contours of modernity. Precise faceting and decisive lines reflect the spirit of the 1930s, where decorative craftsmanship met architectural discipline. The amber transparency carries the memory of a salon from the jazz age and the first flying machines – light entering through the crystal sometimes lingers in the geometric embossments, creating golden reflections on the table or shelf. The vase can be displayed as a soloist on a simple oak sideboard or console, complemented by a single branch to highlight its modern form. It will also work among other Art Deco accessories – with chrome photo frames or geometric ceramics; in an ascetic interior, it will add expressiveness and depth, in a more eclectic arrangement it will become a strong, contemporary accent. The contrast of milky marble or dark wood will enhance the noble colour and shine of the facets.
