Antique Legras carafe – Enamelled glass with orchid decoration and gilding

Magnificent antique carafe by François-Théodore Legras, dating from the Art Nouveau period. Made of slightly frosted transparent glass, it features an elegant piriform body, a long slender neck, and a glass stopper with a droplet shape. Superb enamelled floral decoration depicting a large orchid with white, orange, and mauve petals, accompanied by green foliage. The whole is enhanced by delicate arabesques and golden vegetal motifs. Condition: Generally in beautiful apparent condition, with some signs of age and possible slight wear to the enamels and gilding.
