The luminaire has the simple shape of a slightly compressed sphere. The Cocoon material provides diffuse and atmospheric light. At the same time, the symmetrical body of the luminaire presents itself as an impressive lighting object in the room. The manufacturer Goldkant is known for various Cocoon lamp designs from the 60s and 70s. Many Goldkant designs are often attributed to Castiglioni, as the patterns and shapes used are very similar. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
