Vintage cocoon pendant lamp made by Goldkant Leuchten from the 1960s. The shade, reminiscent of George Nelson's "bubble lamp, " was created using a unique technology called "spray-on fiberglass coating, " a technique inspired by the silkworm. This explains why the lamp is also known as the cocoon lamp. The lamp is in good condition with some minor age spots typical of this lamp. The wiring has been replaced, as has the ceiling rose. A real eye-catcher that provides very pleasant mood lighting!.
