Antique faux bamboo mirror featuring the original mirror plate and a planked back, executed entirely in the Chinoiserie style—a style highly popular during the Art Nouveau period. Originating from France (first half of the 20th century), it bears a coat of arms and initials on the back. The beautiful wooden frame is turned and worked to resemble real bamboo—hence the term "faux bamboo"—and displays a lovely, weathered patina of age. The mirror glass shows light spotting, a common characteristic of very old mirrors. This piece is in very good antique condition, showing minor signs of age and use consistent with its history; there are a few tiny chips on the ends of the wooden frame, but nothing distracting—please check the photos for details.
