Antique faux bamboo mirror with original mirror plate and planked back, entirely in Chinoiserie style. This style was very popular during the Art Nouveau period. Originally from France, this example dates from around 1900. This beautiful wooden frame is carved and crafted to resemble real bamboo, hence the name faux bamboo. This piece has a beautiful weathered patina due to its age. The mirror glass is slightly stained, which is common in very old mirrors. In very good antique condition, with minor signs of age and use commensurate with its age.
