Parisian roll-top desk from the Charles X period in mottled mahogany

Parisian roll-top desk, Charles X period, in mottled mahogany on all sides, circa 1820. The upper panels are decorated with a beaded pattern. The front opens with two drawers, three doors, and a roll-top revealing a charming light wood interior with a sliding tray and a leather writing surface. Two side shelves are also covered in leather. Gilt highlights on the roll-top create a faux marquetry effect. Turned legs. A very fine piece of exceptional cabinetmaking quality. H 152 / W 131 / D 79 cm.
