Small Secretary/Chiffonier in Mahogany Burl and Lemonwood – 1900

This secretary desk is distinguished by its magnificent geometric mahogany burl veneer and its ingeniously concealed drop-front. This refined piece also offers three spacious drawers for storage. The lemonwood writing surface features a central niche above three drawers with ebonized wood pull knobs. The drop-front is covered in black leather adorned with a gilt vignette and a delicate central motif, adding a touch of distinction. The large drawers have stringing and functional locks with their original keys. The piece is topped with a molded surface supported by convex sides highlighted with moldings.
