Forest landscape painting

Old drawing dated 1865, signed eb (unidentified). Very beautiful technique and composition, certainly from the hand of a quality artist. Our gaze meanders along a luminous path above which a large tree leans, before melting into the darkness of the wood. At the center of the composition, this majestic tree with the deployment of its foliage, inspires us with the story of the years it has crossed. The carved wooden frame has been completely stripped of its old paint (white/gray) and creates a beautiful echo by its material to the pattern it frames. The drawing is protected by a window.
