Empire period commode

Elegant Empire period chest of drawers opening with four front drawers. It features the typical characteristics of this period with its detached columns adorned with bronze rings and its sober, balanced lines. The piece has retained its original veneer with beautiful shades of flamed walnut visible on the drawers and sides. The old lock entries and pull knobs contribute to its character. The chest of drawers has been refurbished in our workshops and topped with a new solid walnut top. The drawers slide properly and the piece is stable. Some signs of use, small marks and wear from time are present, particularly at the base of the columns, consistent with its age. They attest to its authenticity without detracting from its usability.
