Empire mahogany chest of drawers, 19th century, marble top. Elegant Empire period chest of drawers made of solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, resting on fluted column legs, richly adorned with finely chiselled gilt bronze. It opens with three wide drawers at the front, offering excellent storage capacity. The drawer fronts feature a superb flame veneer, characteristic of the Empire style, highlighting the quality of craftsmanship and harmony of proportions. The gilt bronzes are beautifully detailed and well-preserved. The grey veined marble top is in good condition and adds an elegant sobriety to the whole. Dimensions: Height: 93 cm. Width: 117 cm.
