Attributed to La Maison Ribaillier: Bellifontain cabinet in oak and marble

Attributed to La Maison Ribaillier: Bellifontain cabinet with recess in oak and marble plaques, 19th century. The projection facade opens with 4 doors sculpted with allegorical scenes and 5 drawers sculpted with feline heads and heads of antique characters. The sides are decorated with double engaged columns: eight in total, giving an impression of architectural reinforcement. On either side, sea green marble plaques are arranged, giving the whole a feeling of luxury and wealth. For the upper part, we are able to speak of a real architectural masterpiece: topped with a sculpted virgin and child and based by two ribboned eagles (1 head missing) / the sculpture of the virgin is centered between 2 volutes placed like monuments / the whole resting on 3 rectangular bases, the cubic base is housed under an overflowing cornice. Quality work in the spirit of the Fontainebleau school. Dimensions: h195 X 113 X 46 cm.
