The carcass, built in pine and fir, is elaborately veneered with a variety of fruitwoods, arranged in a refined marquetry pattern across the gently serpentine, bombé-shaped front, a hallmark of Baroque design language, giving the piece its dynamic, sculptural presence. Three generous drawers form the lower section, while the fall-front opens to reveal a beautifully appointed interior fitted with three small drawers to each side and a central compartment, ideal for correspondence, documents, or as a curated display of small collectibles.
