This rare version in solid oak is one of the most sought-after models from this famous collection. With its elegant proportions, organically shaped armrests, and remarkable craftsmanship, the Senator is regarded as one of the great classics of Danish design from the mid-20th century. The solid oak frame features beautiful sculpted lines and a particularly elegant backrest, allowing the sofa to be placed in the centre of a room. The cushions have been completely renewed with high-quality new foam and covered in luxurious boucle fabric from Kvadrat / Sahco. The cushion support and backing have also been replaced. Condition: Carefully restored. New high-density foam cushions covered in Kvadrat / Sahco boucle fabric. Cushion support and backing renewed. The solid oak structure is in very good vintage condition with only a few light scratches, minor signs of use, and subtle variations in colour due to age. A rare piece of Scandinavian design.
