Elegant two-seater Mid-Century Modern sofa designed by Ole Wanscher and manufactured by France & Son (Cado) as part of the iconic Senator series. Made in Denmark in the 1960s, this sofa is a remarkable example of Scandinavian design tradition. Crafted from solid teak, the structure is distinguished by its organic lines and refined details. The horizontal slatted backrest gives the piece a structural elegance and makes it particularly appealing when placed in the centre of a room. The armrests and joints are carefully shaped, reflecting Wanscher's attention to both functional and refined craftsmanship. The new cushions are filled with high-quality foam and covered in a light grey-beige boucle fabric from Kvadrat / Sahco, offering both texture and softness in a neutral and timeless shade. The sofa is in very good vintage condition: the wooden structure is solid and robust, with only slight signs of wear related to age, including small scratches, slight discolouration, and discreet wear on the lower part of the structure. The upholstery is completely new and has never been used. A collector's piece that combines comfort with architectural presence, ideal for modern and refined interiors.
