Ice Bucket, Enamel Red and Gold French Brass Champagne Cooler, Vintage

A beautiful French vintage ice bucket made in brass and enamel, with a rich deep red ground and elegant raised gilt decoration. The body is decorated with graceful birds, flowers and foliage, with a wide golden rim, rounded brass side handles and a substantial circular pedestal base. The combination of red enamel, warm brass and aged gilding gives this piece a wonderfully rich and elegant French look. A striking collector’s piece for a French country home, elegant bar, dining room or drinks cabinet. The enamel has lovely natural variation and light signs of age, with some small surface marks and areas of wear to the gilt decoration.
