Cloisonne Brass Ice Bucket, Blue Enamel Floral Champagne Cooler

A beautiful mid-century brass ice bucket with a rich deep blue enamel finish and delicate raised floral decoration in pink, green and gold. The flowers and leaves have a lovely hand-finished look, set against the textured blue ground, with a wide polished brass rim, two rounded side handles and a broad pedestal foot. Elegant and unusual, it has the romantic feel of classic European barware and would look wonderful chilling a bottle of champagne or wine, or simply displayed as a colourful statement piece on a bar cart, drinks cabinet or dining table. The bucket has light signs of age and previous use, with some gentle surface wear to the brass and enamel, small marks and areas of wear to the floral decoration, and natural patina to the inside. There are also a few small losses to the finish around the lower brass foot, all visible in the photographs. The overall decoration remains bright and wonderfully attractive.
