Chinese oriental wardrobe made of camphor wood, carved from the 1920s.

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning handmade camphor wood wardrobe, Chinese export circa 1900-1920, which is part of a set. I have the very rare matching chest of drawers listed among my other items with a sublime interior wood patina! This wardrobe is probably one of the most beautiful pieces of export furniture you can see; the carving is exquisite, as is the aged original paint, and the wood inside has an exceptional grain. We have thoroughly cleaned the piece from top to bottom; there are honest signs of age and use here and there, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a second-hand item. Dimensions: Height: 181.5 cm, Width: 104.5 cm, Depth: 47 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Pulborough.
