Authentic and magnificent bulbous stoneware vase with two handles, made by the French ceramist Alphonse Mouton, known as "Alpho". This vase corresponds to the mould model number 213, signed in relief under the base with the mention "ALPHO", dating from circa 1930 - 1950 (the artist's Blue Period). It features a superb modernist geometric shape with polygonal facets (cut sides), typical of the Art Deco period. Its surface is adorned with a magnificent glaze of reactive high-fire enamels, blending an intense cobalt blue background with a flamed and marbled lavender/azure glaze that creates subtle frothy nuances. The round neck and geometric handles are delicately highlighted by lighter honey-beige tones. It is in perfect condition, with no defects.
