I am selling this elegant antique Thonet coffee table from Vienna, model no. 9, featured in the Gebrüder Thonet catalogue from May 1888. This table dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and has a central four-legged base made of bent wood and an oval grey marble top with a groove. With its simple and highly architectural lines, it recalls the models from the Café Museum in Vienna associated with Adolf Loos. The base appears to be made of bent beech wood and is stained mahogany. The marble is grey-white, of good thickness (2.3cm), and its peripheral groove gives the whole piece a strong decorative presence while maintaining great elegance in its lines. This table is easy to maintain; the marble can be cleaned with a sponge. Dimensions: Top: 96 X 71 cm. Total height: 76.5 cm. Condition: Very good overall condition. The table is stable, robust, and sound. Beautiful patina. The base shows some normal superficial marks from use, which do not affect the solidity or the aesthetic appeal of the piece. Please feel free to ask any questions; I will be happy to answer them.
