Dining table (140) in marble model T69 by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, 1963

Magnificent vintage round marble table, model T69, born from the collaboration between Italian designers Osvaldo Borsani (1911-1985) and Eugenio Gerli (1923-2013) in 1963, and distributed by Tecno (Milan). The base consists of four curved legs made of black varnished aluminium on the inner part and satin-finished stainless steel on the outer part, supporting a very large veined marble top (rare to find in this diameter of 140 cm, which can accommodate 8 people) with an aircraft wing edge (type Knoll/Saarinen) and 3 cm thick (the top alone weighs approximately 150 kilos). There are very slight signs of wear due to its 60 years: a few micro-chips around the edge, see photo (taken with flash, sorry) with a little finger next to it for scale, but overall in superb general condition.
