A striking hand-painted ceramic wall plate by Clarisse Keramik, Greece, featuring a vibrant grapevine composition centered around a serpent-entwined staff, a motif resembling the ancient Rod of Asclepius, symbolizing medicine and healing. The plate is richly decorated with clusters of bright green grapes and broad vine leaves, interconnected by flowing brown branches in a harmonious circular design. The central staff with a coiling serpent is rendered in warm yellow tones with delicate detailing. The reverse bears the hand-painted inscription: 'Hand Made – Clarisse Keramik – Kos, Greece.' An embossed factory mark reads: 'Made in Greece by Keramikos S.A. – Lead Free Glaze – Detergent Proof.' Dimensions: Height: 0.99 in (2.5 cm), Diameter: 9.85 in (25 cm). Condition: Good, with very fine and shallow hairline craquelure in the glaze, consistent with age.
