6 deep plates Richelieu - Saint-Amand

Produced at the end of the 19th century, these deep plates made of fine earthenware testify to the craftsmanship of the factories in the North of France, at a time when transfer-printed decoration was present on all bourgeois tables. The "Richelieu" model, from the pottery of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux under the direction of Albert Lebacqz and M. Bouchart, is distinguished by its frieze of swirling arabesques on the rim and its naturalistic central bouquet printed in English green on a white background. Set of 6 plates in good condition.
