4 deep plates made of ironstone by A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart (Saint-Amand-les-Eaux), Richelieu model, featuring a botanical pattern in a deep green around a central leafy medallion and a delicate frieze of scrolls. Stamped A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (Nord) in the years 1890-1895, these plates showcase the craftsmanship of the great earthenware factories in Northern France. The historical stamp of the manufacture is identifiable by its small monkey holding a globe. In good vintage condition, with a glossy glaze, some micro-scratches from use, a discreet patina on the edges, small chips on some plates, and slight signs of age. One plate is lighter than the others, slightly deeper, and the decoration is a bit less dark (see photos). Diameter 22.5 cm, height 2.5 cm. An old ironstone chosen for the finesse of its decoration as well as for the depth of its green.
