Decorative wall panel in glazed stoneware, 1970s

Maison Lecan presents this superb vintage wall plaque made of thick chamotte stoneware from the 1970s, adorned with an abstract and stylised decoration evoking a plant or solar motif surrounded by flying birds. The piece is captivating due to its relief and its beautiful glazes in warm and natural tones that harmoniously contrast with the raw material of the stoneware. The unglazed reverse features its original sealed metal attachment as well as a signature with the black monogram "MA". This is a sound and very decorative piece, showing a fine old crack from use/cooking in the upper right corner, discreet and perfectly stable.
