Unique blue ceramic table lamp from 1977 by Flora Gouda (Lotus series), paired with a new floral lampshade "Marquess Garden" from Liberty London in blue satin cotton; finished with brass details and a navy blue cord wrapped in fabric, newly wired with a plug for the USA, ready to use. The ceramic base is an original vase from the Lotus series produced in 1977, during an important period in Dutch ceramics. Finished in a soft matte blue cornflower shade, the glaze has a velvety depth that is neither too light nor too dark. The upper body is adorned with a hand-painted white abstract frieze, giving it a modern and graphic character. The lampshade is made from a dense floral Liberty London fabric with a small printed pattern on satin cotton, adding softness and visual richness. The custom brass collar ensures a refined transition between the base and the lampshade, while the braided blue cord enhances the colour harmony. The original vase has been transformed using non-invasive methods, preserving its integrity as a collectible item. The lamp is suitable for interiors seeking understated character, fitting into a layered living room, a classic yet relaxed bedroom, or a collection blending mid-century design with contemporary textiles. It presents a presence without excess and a pattern without noise. These two elements, designed independently in the same year, create a dialogue between Dutch ceramics and British textiles.
