Reading Floor Lamp with Articulated Arm in Gold Brass and Triangular Base.

This reading lamp features a square brass shaft in a golden finish, topped with a baluster finial and resting on an elegant triangular moulded base with a rounded edge, set on small pads. The double-pivot articulated arm allows the light source to be directed towards the reading chair. The black conical lampshade with a golden interior concentrates a warm and enveloping light. This model is part of the neoclassical tradition of library lighting, revived in the 1970s by French houses specialising in gilded brass, in the spirit of the productions of Maison Jansen. Condition report: Generally good condition. Brass with a beautiful, even golden patina, lampshade in good presentation condition. A beautifully crafted reading lamp, ideal next to an armchair or sofa.
