Brass Articulated Arm Reading Lamps in Gold. Neoclassical Style. Work.

This reading lamp features a fluted brass stem topped with a finial in the shape of a spinning top, resting on a circular stepped base. The double-pivot articulated arm, fixed beneath the top of the stem, allows for the light source to be directed as needed. The black conical shade with a gold interior diffuses a warm, concentrated light. This model of articulated arm reading lamp is rooted in the neoclassical tradition of library lighting, revived in the 1970s by French houses specialising in gilded brass, in the spirit of the productions of Maison Jansen.
