1950s painting "Mopende Man"

Portrait of a man, mixed media on jute combining flat areas of dyed fibres with outlines of cord, dyed raffia braids, horsehair, and bead necklaces. Earth tones and natural materials authentically African. The painting is simply framed in a black wood frame with a grain, and the canvas is backed with cardboard. Please note that the jute is pierced at the bottom of the painting. The painting is part of a series of portraits offered on the site. Frame dimensions: height 42.5 cm, width 53.5 cm, depth 2 cm.
