Magnificent vintage covered jar or bonbonnière signed Pol Chambost (1906-1983), an authentic collectible ceramic piece from the modernist era of the mid-20th century. Features: Design & Shape: Elegant pedestal shape topped with a lid featuring a sculpted handle. Glaze: Superb crackled glaze in an intense and luminous turquoise blue, typical of the artist's mastery of glazes. Signature: Piece signed "Pol Chambost" by the artist's hand under the base. Condition: Very good overall condition of the ceramic and the shiny glaze. Please note a small scratch/chip located on the inner rim of the lid (visible in the photos of the underside of the lid), which is completely invisible when the bonbonnière is closed and does not alter the overall aesthetic of the piece. An ideal piece for lovers of vintage design, French art ceramics, and the Trente Glorieuses.
