Old country bonnetière (renovated)

This wardrobe with a single door, stemming from the French peasant tradition of the 19th century, captivates with its raw authenticity and generous size despite its contained width. A piece of furniture rooted in its time, it fits as naturally in a contemporary interior as it does in a country house. Materials: solid pine and chestnut. Features: the wardrobe opens with a single door featuring two framed panels: a small panel at the top and a larger one at the bottom. The deep and well-proportioned body is internally equipped with a hanging rail and a middle shelf, offering simple and effective organisation. The door is adorned with a crafted brass handle. Renovation: the bonnetière has been sanded, treated against wood-boring insects, washed, and finally waxed for natural protection that preserves its authenticity. A magnet has also been installed to ensure the door closes properly. Condition: robust and stable, the bonnetière shows signs of age (slight wood splits, surface irregularities, woodworm holes) that contribute fully to its character. Dimensions: L89 X D65 X H158.
