Large painting by Victor Zolnierowicz, peonies, oil on canvas, frame year

Very beautiful oil on canvas by the painter Victor Zolnierowicz (1908–1995), depicting a generous bouquet of pink and white peonies in a glass vase. The work, signed at the bottom left, is presented in a sumptuous antique frame made of carved and gilded wood in the Louis XV style. Richly decorated with shells, foliage, and scrolls, this frame offers a remarkable presence and perfectly highlights the painting. The reverse bears the artist's name as well as an old label mentioning his studio address in Gagny, reinforcing the provenance of the work.
