Beautiful old oil on canvas depicting a bouquet of flowers in a pottery jug with popular decoration, placed on a marble table. It features pink, yellow, and purple roses, carnations, daisies, a poppy bud, and bellflowers. The painting is executed in thick paste, with beautiful light effects and a lovely reflection on the marble. Signed at the bottom left "P. Perrisse" and dated [1888]. Frame: period frame in gilded wood and stucco, decorated with foliage, flowers, and pearls, with a laurel crown on the outside. Canvas stretched on its original stretcher, with a round stamp on the back. Fine age-related craquelure, small paint losses on the upper right edge and on the table, visible in the photos. Frame with some cracks at the corners and small losses of gilding. Nothing serious: the painting is in good condition. Ideal for a classic interior, a dining room, or a bedroom.
