This transitional style coffee table captivates with the refined elegance of its rosewood and mahogany marquetry. The top, made of a veneer arranged in butterfly wings framed by a two-tone frieze, offers a subtle and luminous play of symmetries. Its scalloped edge highlights the delicacy of its line and showcases the craftsmanship of the master cabinetmaker. The drawer features a rosewood veneer front enhanced by a two-tone inlay and opens with a finely chiselled bronze handle in the shape of a laurel crown, a noble and delicate detail that affirms the precious character of the piece. Below, a door with a relief marquetry front reveals a spacious niche that provides discreet functionality while maintaining the harmony of the furniture. The rounded uprights, adorned with an inlaid blackened wood fillet, extend the sophistication of the whole, while the four slightly curved legs ensure a balanced silhouette, typical of the transitional period between Louis XV and Louis XVI.
