Beautiful pair of large wall sconces in Restoration style, dating from the second half of the 20th century. Made by the famous French bronze maker Lucien Gau, based in Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris. Crafted in bronze. Original gilding and green patina in good condition. Note some slight wear of the gilding in places on the arms, as well as a few small touch-ups of the green patina. The wall parts feature an elegant design with large vertical arrows topped with palmettes. The arms, with curved and fluted lines, are richly decorated with foliage, scrolls, and small flowers. The bobeches have a gadrooned decoration, highlighted by the green patina, offering a beautiful contrast with the gilding of the bronze. The whole presents a tall and balanced composition, characteristic of the Restoration style. Electricity installed and tested, with new wires (for E14 bulbs). Cardboard candles, showing some missing parts in the wax drip imitations. They are stamped "LG," for Lucien Gau, on the back (see last photo). Careful packaging guaranteed. Delivery via Colissimo Recommended to your home. Dimensions: Height: 39.00 cm Width: 25.00 cm Depth: 14.00 cm Total weight: 2.80 kg
