Very beautiful two-light lamp in Louis XV style, dating from the second half of the 20th century. Made by the famous French bronzier Lucien Gau, based in Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris. Crafted in bronze. Original gilding, in good condition. The base features an elegant decoration of acanthus leaves and scrolls, with the characteristic flowing lines of the Louis XV style. The lamp has retained its original oval shade, made of dark green tin, with a beautiful crackled finish. It is highlighted with two fine golden borders at the top and bottom. Very good condition. The shade is topped with an elegant openwork ornament in gilded bronze, composed of scrolls and acanthus leaves, echoing the decoration of the base. The whole piece offers a beautiful harmony between the gilding of the bronze and the deep green of the shade. Socket and switch installed and tested. Cardboard candles, in very good condition. It is stamped "LG," for Lucien Gau, under the base (see last photo). Careful packaging guaranteed. Dimensions: Total height: 38.50 cm Width: 22.00 cm Depth: 16.00 cm Total weight: 1.20 kg
